One of the most stunning features of "Beauty.full Winter Time" are the captivating details, with a depth and richness that the landscape becomes near ethereal.
The tracks in the paths suggest that the landscape is not completely abandoned, but the mystery lies in that the manor does look abandoned. That travellers use these two paths but never someone to visit or live there gives the house a new purpose, a shifting from a shelter to a landmark.

The colour scheme is near masterful. It is suspended between both warm and cool, made most apparent in the clouds. Beyond the sky the warm tones and the cool tones are separated near down the middle, with the warm tones on the right, and the cool tones on the left. This middle division could be taken metaphorically: A path of warmth, light; and one of cold and shadow. The light and cool of the opposing sides is further explored by the background buildings beyond the hunting manor - the yellow building on the right, and the blueish black on the left, covered in snow.

The division of warm and cool tones is further driven in composition by the symmetry of the piece. It seems to be segregated into three equal parts: Left Path, Manor, Right Path. While the Manor commands the attention in the direct centre, it makes me wonder how the same image would read if it had been to one side. I would love to see this image remade with the composition less symmetric, just for curiosity's sake.

The composition is also aided by the horizon, being about (or just above) the one-third mark horizontally. This helps balance the near perfect symmetric nature of the vertical elements, while still showing the beauty of the paths but the incredible detail of the trees, sky, and of course, the manor.

The piece is incredibly well done, visually appealing and haunting.
